A BRIEF INTRODUCTION
‘There really is a thought behind everything!’
My name is Anneliese Tacke-Jansen and I’ve been working with children since secondary school. An internship at a kindergarten, start to work at a toddler group and finally, in 2005, ending up at a day care centre that works according to the Montessori method. Soon I followed a training at the Dutch Montessori Association, which gave me a better understanding of why I did what I did. I was able to see my colleagues at work, but the vision only really kicked in when I heard the thoughts behind it all. And there really is a thought behind everything!

It was therefore time to share this knowledge and I did, and do. I enjoy doing this at parents’ evenings, because in this way I can make the parents part of the vision. This creates awareness, a little insight and, most importantly, enthusiasm for the Montessori method.
In 2017 I followed the AMI teacher training 0-3 years, an international training from the Association Montessori International. Founded by Maria Montessori herself in 1929. An intensive but very beautiful training that goes deeply into the vision. Meanwhile, I was also a Montessori coach for the organisation where I work, a beautiful combination!
I still work with young children, previously in a combination of baby group (age 0-2 years) and toddler group (2-4 years). I am now fulltime teacher at the baby group 4 days a week and I can apply my acquired experience and knowledge beautifully. For me, guiding children and their parents is the very best job in the world! And above all I am a mother of 4 wonderful children and also a proud grandmother. This means that I can also understand the parents’ point of view.
My current project is writing a Montessori book. I would like to share all my knowledge and experience and bundle it all as readable and practical information, together with lots and lots of pictures! For parents and pedagogical staff, and for you of course….
‘Growing, develop, awareness’
My name is Ruben van ‘t Hul and since my adolescence I have been planning to work with children. Becoming a teacher was my plan. The first step in that direction was the training to become a classroom assistant. The internships that were part of the training were wonderful lessons for me. I saw various schools, regular, anthroposophical and Montessori. Very diverse but always an educational experience. And because the online lesson system during the corona period disappointed me, I postponed the PABO application at the time.

In the summer of 2020, in the meantime, I went to work for a day care organisation that works according to the Montessori method, the same employer as my mother. We became colleagues! From her I heard more about the vision in combination with the guidance of the young child. I was looking for more and signed up for the Assistance Course 0-3 years of the AMI. Very instructive, very interesting!
Meanwhile, I work full-time in the group with children aged 0-2 and 2-4. Every day I see the miracle of growing up, development and awareness of life. The daily observation, looking at children, is a special and beautiful part of the Montessori method. In which phase, sensitive period, is the child. What can I mean in that and how do I share my knowledge with the parents. So I started the Montessori journey!
In September 2021 I will also participate in the International AMI training 0-3 years. What I already know and what I am going to learn I would like to share, I would love to hear what I can do for you…
